November/December 2021 Manager's Update

FROM THE MANAGER

The holidays are upon us and as always, it's a great time to look back at the year; to reflect on the positive changes so far and look forward to the ones yet to come. This year has certainly seen its ups and downs but overall business has been great, air traffic is up, and people are starting to relax as things continue to safely return to normal. For Pearland Regional itself, this year has seen numerous historical records not only broken but completely smashed. A huge shoutout to all of our based and new customers, we literally could not have done it without you.

In other news, the airport has actively engaged in some new wildlife management activities. With the growing concern of possible interactions between aircraft and wildlife, Pearland Airport has taken several steps to mitigate the risks. You may see airport employees throughout the airfield with various equipment to deal with these issues. For your safety and theirs, please do not interfere and maintain a respectful distance at all times.

As we all continue to grow, safety is always the first priority. In this vein, over the next few months we will see several ongoing efforts to improve safety around the airport. New signs will soon be going up to help clearly identify restricted areas where only aircraft and select pre-approved maintenance vehicles are allowed. Primarily, these areas will include the runway and taxiway A. Although we appreciate the community's interest in helping maintain a fun and safe place to fly, we would like to take a moment to remind everyone that if you are not in an aircraft or employed by the airport, you should not be in these areas. If you have any concerns, please call the airport office at 281-482-7551. If there is an emergency or after hours event that needs immediate addressing, please call the airport and press option 9. This will bypass the pre-recorded messages and dial a manager's personal cellphone immediately.

Please also note below our modified holiday schedule for FBO hours and Full-Service Fuel. However, Self-Service will still be available 24-7 for both 100LL and Jet-A.

I just want to say a big THANK YOU to all of you for another amazing year and as always, feel free to reach out to me directly with anything I may be of help with. I sincerely wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Happy Flying,

Jason Panos
